Founded by Stephen and Amy Burns, Chairman Distillery is more than just a family-owned and operated business. It is an outpouring of their passion for the art of distilling and their Irish roots. It is a reflection of their dedication to creating exceptional spirits. And it is a way of welcoming the world to enjoy the bounty of their extensive 73-acre estate.
Stephen’s passion for crafting exceptionally smooth and opulent Irish-style whiskey, combined with Amy’s expertise in brand management, sets Chairman Distillery on a path to redefine the whiskey experience in the United States.
Stephen developed further expertise in the distilling industry through hands-on experience and by receiving certifications from Moonshine University in Kentucky, Edinburgh Whisky Academy in Scotland, and Irish Whiskey Academy in Ireland. This enabled him to refine his technical skills and develop a deep understanding of flavor profile nuances, production methods, and market trends.
Amy is passionate about making the Chairman brand come to life. From designing the space to concocting clever cocktail names, she brings personality to everything that “embottles” the whiskey and beyond.
Stephen and Amy are thrilled to advance Chairman Distillery in the upcoming years. This husband-and-wife team embodies the heart and the skills for hosting a thriving distillery operation.
